Driving this ride feels like owning a piece of history. At the time, the Italian manufacturer was going through some hardships, and this vehicle was super important because it turned things around for them. Of course, we are talking about the glorious 1953 Ferrari 340 Spider America.

Nowadays, they are super rare, but don’t think that this driver holds it in his garage all of the time. Instead, he uses it practically every day. His name is Michael Stehle, and he bought this car with one purpose in mind: to use it for Mille Miglia racing competition. The first mission was how to convince his wife, and all it took was a few seconds of that fantastic engine noise to bring it home.

Back in the day, this was the fastest, most durable supercar that Ferrari had to offer, and that’s why Enzo Ferrari appointed his favorite driver, Pero Taruffi to drive it at Mille Miglia in 1952. Although it didn’t win due to transmission breakdown, it was very impressive, and thus, its legacy began. Today, it is just as astonishing as the day it left the factory. Such an exquisite machine!
