Even though this car doesn’t pack the great deal more horses over the regular Porsche Cayman GT4, thanks to Sharkwerks, it is now sharper and more fun to drive.
When stock, the Cayman GT4 puts down 380hp and 420 Nm (310 lb-ft) of torque, coming from its 3.8-liter unit. This translates into the 0-100 km/h sprint time of 4.4 seconds and a top speed of 295 km/h in a car that weighs just 1,415 kg.
Sharkwerks took all that and dropped in the little more power (+35 horsepower for a total of 415hp) to go with the lighter flywheel and with the fact that it’s been re-geared for a maximum performance, which is what makes the biggest difference according to The Smoking Tire’s Matt Farah.
During his quick canyon road drive, Matt Farah seems to be enjoying the GT4 quite a lot and he does let us know it is better than the two stock Cayman GT4s he previously had the pleasure of trying out.
We would also like to point out that this car sounds pretty aggressive thanks to the custom exhaust system.
As for the rest of the mods, they include custom brakes, the new aero and exterior bits, suspension kit, lightweight alloys, transmission mods and software tuning.
