Resonating a classic mid-sixties styling, this 1965 Chevrolet Malibu is a fast and nasty ride that’s one fitting tribute to an absolute drag racing legend.

What can be more appropriate as a tribute to a late drag racing champion than to have a car that’s actually a beast in a drag strip? This ride sure is nice and badass! It’s a tribute to engine builder and drag racer, Billy “Grumpy” Jenkins, and boy he’ll sure approve if he’d witness it.

Jenkins had been working on Chevys, particularly on ’63 Impala Z11, since starting his career as both a drag racer and engine builder. He turned to Dodge when Chevy had a corporate ban on motorsports for the ’64 season before finally coming back to Chevrolets in 1966 and stayed. Had the corporate ban did not happen, Jenkins could have probably turned an eye and picked a Malibu.

Wanna see how this tribute performs in the track? Check it out too as it smokes out other rides and shows off a head-turning speed and sound through the video below.
