The racing world is still busy celebrating Gidi Chamdi and his GT-R barging into the 6-second range for quarter mile time at the TX2K17 in Texas. But a few days prior to that, Alpha Logic took its own car to a drag strip in Dubai and made one hell of a pass. It was the second fastest 1/4 mile GT-R in the world: 7.057 seconds at 206.13 mph.
After that feat, the Alpha Logic Crew headed to the Qatar Mile which is a half-mile event and topped their performance in Dubai. They set the world’s fastest 1/2 mile record at 248.32 mph. This puts them ahead of Richard Fowler who set a record of 247.25 mph in September last year with his Underground Racing X Version Twin Turbo Lamborghini Huracan. We also saw Richard in Colorado at the Pikes-Peek Air Strip Attack where his Underground Racing Twin-Turbo Lamborghini Gallardo SuperLeggera made a 240.64 mph pass.
At this point we don’t know what Alpha Logic Performance has in store for its cars. They’re nearing the end of their racing season and its getting really hot in the Middle East. But one thing is for sure, this won’t be the last time we’ll see Alpha Logic cars, it’s likely that their all-carbon, Alpha “K” GT-R will eventually be a quarter mile record holder…but who knows!
