Although it’s called BMW 435i Gran Coupe, you probably noticed that this vehicle actually has 5 doors. The name isn’t the only odd thing about it. The Bavarian manufacturer decided to put this ride in the league of its own, but it’s pretty clear that we’re dealing with 3 Series on steroids here. So, did the experiment work?

The choice comes down to two turbocharged engines, the smaller one producing 240 horsepower, and the larger 3.0L pumping out 300hp to the wheels. While these numbers won’t blow you away at first sight, take into account that this is supposed to be a comfortable cruiser rather than a furious racer.
The automatic 8-speed transmission is there to make it run smoothly, and while the rear-wheel drive comes standard, an all-wheel drive is also optional. All in all, it seems like a mighty fine package. The question is, does it work in real world? Watch the video below and find out.
