The young driver was filming himself singing while driving from the Indianapolis to Whitewater when his vehicle aquaoplaned off the highway, resulting into the rollover accident.
I was going 70 mph (the speed limit) on I65 north. I travel the 3-4 hours by myself every time and use singing as the way to pass time, and critique it later. At this point I was practicing the nasal type voice on the Casting Crowns song when the crash happened, the driver says in the video below description.
Unluckily, he was caught off guard by the standing wated: I was watching a road and saw nothing that caused me to worry. Simply hydroplaned in the heavy rain. My vehicle slid sideways, then was completely backwards by the time I slid off the road and went down the small hill. I hit a mile marker sign (230) on my way off the road.
Let that be the reminder to every one of us; traveling at the speed limit doesn’t always guarantee safety, and as we must always be alert and adjust to road conditions.
Luckily, said driver escaped unharmed from the scene with his vehicle said to have only body damage. This is what happens when you record vertically!
