BMW M6 Gran Coupe was really shadowed by the mighty M5. Not because the M5 is any faster or better, but because the M5 is more recognizable and has an imagine crafted for decades. Nevertheless, the M6 Gran Coupe is amazing as reported by Eddie and Parker from Vehicle Virgins.

The car is a more or less nicely camouflaged and finely tuned M5. It has four doors, a roof that reminds us of coupe cars, fantastic looking front and back end and then it has that 4.4-liter TwinPower Turbo engine with something like 570hp (600hp for the Competition).

On top of it all, one can enjoy a seven-speed double clutch transmission which definitely works wonders in terms of performance driving.

What they liked so much is the whole mystery surrounding the car. It is like a better sorted, nicer BMW M5 with a bit of evil inside it.

The car they drove is a machine with Competition package meaning that it has a carbon fiber roof, black exhaust tips, black wheels and sporting trim on the inside and outside. The most important part of it all is that it is a long, wide hunkered down BMW – like the ones we learned to love back in the Nineties.

All in all, the BMW did a great job with the M6 Gran Coupe. It invited the gorgeous spirit of the BMW M cars of before. What is interesting is that despite all the carbon fiber outside and inside, the car is actually a leather luxurious heaven.
