Produced from 1981 to 1983, Honda Motocompo wasn’t the most flashy motorcycle in the world, and yet, it was incredibly awesome. While the design wasn’t top notch when it comes to looks, this little machine was incredibly practical. In fact, it fitted perfectly in a Honda Civic boot, and don’t think that it was accidentally so.
Let’s be fair and admit that performances do leave a lot to be desired. Despite the weight of just 45 kilograms, that tiny air-cooled two-stroke motor just wasn’t powerful enough. In fact, it was only capable of producing 2,5 horsepower at 5,000rpm. Naturally, all things considered, speed was never the selling point for this beauty. Instead, Motocompo blew the audience away with its unique design.
If fact, this thing was so simple that even a child could ride it. A lot of us actually did, and perhaps that’s the reason why we feel so nostalgic about this bad boy nowadays. Guys from the Youtube channel Mighty Car Mods took them out for a spin. To find out what that looked like, click on the video below.
