Even Before Lamborghini introduced its new Huracan Performante, the supercar had already shattered a record at the Nürburgring circuit, making it the world’s fastest production car to lap the renowned German track.
Lambo’s latest Huracán formally made its much anticipated debut at the Geneva Auto Show 2017, which kicked off Tuesday. The car set the lap record on October 5, 2016. The Italian automaker announced the production cap lap record and also released a video of the lap Monday.
Powered by a 5.2-liter naturally-aspirated V10, the Huracan Performante set a record of 00:06:52:01 which is five seconds quicker than the previous record holder, the epic Porsche 918 Spyder. The super sports car can go from 0-60 mph in 2.9 seconds and hit a maximum speed of 202 mph.
The first clients will receive their Huracan Performante this summer. The base price of the supercar, excluding taxes, is $274,390.
