In this video presented by YouTube channel Storm Force, we take a look at colossal technological giants – some of the largest planes the world has ever seen. In order of appearance you’ll see the¬†Boeing 747, Antonov An-124, Airbus A380, Airbus A340-600, and the Antonov An-225.

The airplane is considered as the safest and most convenient way to travel. It has exceeded expectations since the Wright brothers first took flight in the early 1900’s. Since then planes have become bigger, faster, more powerful, and can now cover much longer range. They are also more spacious, taking up a lot more gate space at airports across the globe. In fact, some aircrafts have become so large that airports need to be renovated just to accommodate them!

The single Antonov An-225 is generally acknowledged as the largest plane in the world and the biggest heavier-than-air aircraft ever to enter operational service. It is also the world’s heaviest aircraft ever built with a maximum takeoff weight in excess of 640 tons. As for the biggest passenger plane, the¬†Airbus A380 owns that distinction. It is a double-deck, wide-body, four-engine jet airliner, and the airports that operate it have upgraded their facilities to accommodate it. It provides seating for 525 in a typical three-class setup or up to 853 in an all-economy class configuration.

Watch the video and feast you eyes on the ginormous flying marvels that have revolutionized the aviation industry. Enjoy!
