Ferrari dropped a first official video of their new LaFerrari Aperta, the open-top version of their flagship hypercar.
With the limited production run of just 70 units, the Aperta adds the very welcome layer of interaction to the LaFerrari experience by throwing into a package the benefit of not having the roof.
The hybrid powertrain still uses and perhaps the best naturally aspirated V12 in the planet, Ferrari’s 789 horsepower 6.3-litre unit that’s been backed by the 161hp electric motor.
The combined 950 horsepower are enough for the LaFerrari Aperta to reach speeds over 350 km/h (217mph). The 0-100 km/h (0-62mph) sprint takes under 3 seconds, while 0-200km/h (0-124mph) is dealt in the breathtaking 7.1 seconds.
Ferrari has worked extensively to the aero agenda of their new roadster and in order to ensure that the LaFerrari Aperta remains as slippery and offers as much downforce as the hardtop LaFerrari.
The company used Sebastian Vettel as a driver of their latest hypercar in the video that clearly focuses more on the advertising side than the informative one, but it’s the nice chance to see this really rare car on the move. Fantastic video and a fantastic car! Great job Ferrari, as always.
