Until the Aston Martin Valkyrie co-developed with the Red Bull arrives, the Vulcan ...
Until the Aston Martin Valkyrie co-developed with the Red Bull arrives, the Vulcan is by far the most vicious Aston Martin you can buy right now, with the naturally aspirated V12 engine producing the exhilarating 820-hp.
There is just one catch – unlike the Valkyrie, the Vulcan isn’t road legal, and the only way you can enjoy it is to take it out onto a race track.
Aston Martin recently hosted the private event for Vulcan owners at the Circuit of Americas circuit. If you are fortunate and rich enough to own the $2.3 million hypercar, chances are you will be wanting to show it off and unleash its full potential.
Out of the 24 Vulcans that exist, seven showed up at the event, and it is the rare and spectacular sight to behold. Watching this video, you will think you have died and gone to hypercar heaven.
And not only does its performance and rarity make the Vulcan special, it represents the dying breed of naturally aspirated hypercars as hybrids become increasingly prevalent – you can’t beat the sublime sound of the naturally aspirated V12, and the video documenting this event testifies that.
The monstrous 7.0-liter engine is based on Aston Martin’s glorious GT3 vehicles, and the chassis is made entirely out of carbon fiber to keep the weight down, making it the glorious track toy to tame.
If you are pining to unleash the Vulcan onto the road, there is at least the solution. Engineering company RML will happily convert your Vulcan into the street-legal beast, which takes around three months to complete.
