First version of Porsche 997 was known for it’s good looks, and solid performances, but there was always something that was lacking with it. A lot of people pointed out to the smaller Mezger-based 3.6L engine which just wasn’t powerful enough for enthusiasts worldwide. German engineers listened to those complains, and after some time, they came up with this brilliant upgraded unit. It is known simply as 997.2 GT3, and it had some major differences compared to the previous model.
First thing you would notice is the slight redesign of the front and back end, but the icing on the cake came under the hood. Replacing the older motor with a new 3.8L beast, they managed to produce 435 horsepower to the wheels, and more importantly, a whole lot of low-end torque, transforming this beauty into a sublime cruiser.
If you are a fan of One Take, you probably expected to see a modified version here, but the owner decided to keep it stock, and we believe he made the right decision. Why fix it when it’s not broken?
