Team Williams worked its way to the record books by posting the fastest pit stop of the 2017 Formula One Championship. The crew completed a full tire change in just 2.17 seconds at the Canadian Grand Prix in Montreal.

They broke the previous record set by the Red Bull team that turned Max Verstappen around in 2.33 seconds, and gave 18-year-old Williams’ rookie Lance Stroll his first points of the season at the Circuit Gilles-Villeneuve.

The mind-blowing record saw 25 points handed to Williams, solidifying its grip on the top spot of the 2017 Fastest Pit Stop Award ladder with a total of 170 points. The feat left second placer Mercedes in McLaren’s wake with a 2.34 second pit for Valterri Bottas.

It’s truly amazing to watch Team Williams get to work and I had to replay the clip frame by frame because I couldn’t decipher everything in real-time! That’s how incredibly fast the team was going…see for yourself and click on the play button below!
