The Swedish moose test has claimed many victims over the years and has had the number of spectacular failures, like a Toyota Hilux.

So, if this test has seen failures from some of the world’s leading automakers, well, how did Tesla fare with the all-electric Model X? The answer is, very well indeed.

This tests took place at 70 km/h, 72 km/h and 74km/h, and while this Model X knocked over the few cones, none of its wheels ever left the surface of a road, something hard to come by during this moose test.

Clearly one of the reasons why the Tesla performed so well is that it has the very low center of gravity, as most of its weight is found in a floor-mounted batteries.

While we can’t imagine many people being sold on a Model X solely because it passes the moose test with the flying colors, owners can at least rest easy knowing that if they ever encounter the unexpected object in front of them, they can maneuver around it and without fear of the SUV getting out of shape.
