20. 2017 Audi R8 V10 Plus
The fastest series-production Audi is back and back with a vengeance. But, what makes the awesomeness about this mid-engine two-seater sports car especially awesome is that its greatest upgrade is brand new software. In fact, the good folks over at Car and Driver say that the 2017 Audi R8 V10 Plus is the “greatest example of tuning through 1s and 0s.”
Or, in other words, this new German made car is the ride with the greatest tuning software on the planet (thus far). That said, this car that boasts a GM-J body, the same body of the Lamborghini Huracan, features some of the greatest hardware found on any car any where. For this yet to arrive model year, the thinking heads at Audi have decided to do away with the V-8 option and just go with the V-10. Hey, if you are going to limit choices, you might as limit them to the most epic of choice, yeah?
Word on the autobahn is that this most powerful of production Audis might eventually be available in more than one body style; however, although we do not know exactly which body styles they all will be, there is confidence that it will be released as a roadster. The plus version will be fitted with a turbocharged 5.2-liter V-10 plus engine that pumps out a blistering 610 horsepower. Oh, and how does a 8k rpm redline stand to you? Yeah, me too!
19. 2017 Chevy Camaro ZL1
Ya had to know that at least one American muscle car had to make it onto this list of the 20 most incredible high performance cars of the near future, didn’t you? After all, the American muscle car is, in many ways, the coolest most macho niche in the entire history of production cars.
So, let us present to you, the AMAZING 2017 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1, one of the most evil-looking cars to ever be made. This sixth-generation Camaro ZL1 is beefy as all get out being fitted with an engine that is eerily similar to the 640-horsepower supercharged LT4 engine of the Corvette Z06.
This eye-popping American combustion-engine power gives the 2017 Chevy Camaro ZL1 a Nürburgring Nordschleife lap time of 7:23.77 and an official top speed of 193 miles per hour. Sure, these are not supercar or hypercar numbers, but they are awfully inspiring for a car that ought to start at somewhere around $56,500.
Oh, and this car differs than nearly all of the other amazing yet-to-be-released cars on this list in that you will be able to purchase one with a six-speed manual transmission. Or, if you are getting one of these Camaros for your granny, you can buy one with a ten-speed automatic transmission.
18. 2017 Ferrari F12 tdf
I have got terrible news bro. The yet-to-be-released 2017 Ferrari F12 tdf has already sold out. Yeah, every single one of these Italian-made $330,000 cars have been purchased pre-release. I failed to get a single one. How about you?
Though this incredible 2017 grand tourer is so amazing that it has sold out, the truth is that there is still a lot not known about it. Auto industry journalists believe it is being made to compete with its high-performance peers such as the 2015 Aston Martin Vanquish and the 2015 Lambo Aventador.
Also, it is widely felt that this 2017 Ferrari F12 TDF will be a meaner, a more aggressive version of the already mean and aggressive Ferrari F12 Berlinetta that will also have some styling changes to include a rear end will have all new air vents, a totally redesigned spoiler, and a fascia back. Oh, and though its backside will be mighty fine, let us not forget that its lengthened front end will make you drool thanks to its “T” air intake that has HUGE air channels on both sides, its sculpted bumper, and carbon-fiber splitter. And, though they are at the bottom, the 20-inch chrome wheels are the icing on this Italian grand tourer cake!
