5. 2018 Toyota Supra
Hmmm… There is something wrong with me. For some reason, whenever I learn anything about one of the newer Toyota Supras my mind is blown. I suppose this is because both my grandmother and one of the my aunts has Toyotas. And there Toyotas lasted for years and years providing humble and totally not exciting service!
But, neither of them had a Toyota Supra, which is great because this Japanese sports car would have been the end of them. And, the 2018 Toyota Supra has got to be the greatest mass production Toyota car ever made and maybe even the greatest Japanese sports car of all time.
Co-developed with BMW, the not-yet-released Supra might not even hit the market with the Supra name. Word in the automotive world is that it may be sold as the Toyota 2000GT or the Toyota FT-1. What is known is that it will be available as a convertible and a coupe and that it will, as you can see in its picture, be a stunningly sinister looking little car!
There is some other uncertainty with this Japanese/German sports car. Its engine bay is too small for one of Toyota’s six- or eight-valve engines, which has led to speculation that it will be released with a turbo BMW V6 or V8 engine. Either way, this will be a fun and powerful sports car!
