Honda S2000 is yet another iconic Japanese Domestic Market car of the 90s. It is a roadster that is manufactured by Honda from the year 1999 to 2009. Interestingly, it was first unveiled as concept car in Tokyo Motor Show in 1995. The concept was turned to reality and the production version was first unveiled in 1999 in celebration of the company’s 50th Anniversary. The S2000 is named for its engine displacement of two liters, carrying on in the tradition of the S500, S600, and S800 roadsters of the 1960s.In the span of 10 years during its production years, the Honda S2000 underwent numerous revisions and upgrades including changes to the engine, gearbox, suspension, interior and exterior.As far as the specifications are concerned, the first generation of Honda S2000 is initially powered by 122 cubic inch Naturally aspiration inline 4 engine but it was later increased to 132 cubic inch in its recent model and generations. The engine can generate a total of 247 horsepower at 8,300rpm and 161 lb ft of torque in 7500 rpm. The power is transmitted to the wheels through the 6 speed manual transmission.
