And what about the parts automakers use to build their vehicles? It’s a lot less common to see how suspension components are manufactured than it is to see them installed on the car.
That’s part of what makes this video so interesting. You get a peek behind the scenes at how the long metal rod gets turned into a spring for the Toyota FJ. Surprisingly, it’s a lot less automated than you may expect. The machine may do a lot of the work, but factory workers are still the essential part of the process.
And we don’t even want to think about what would happen and if someone accidentally touched one of those glowing hot pieces without protection. And that has disaster written all over it.
